WEABL SEASON OPENER!

Six teams opened the league with major performances and we're excited to see which players continue into this season with consistency and growth. Natalie Charity, Anna Nevison and Rosie Porter topped week 1 in points made for their winning teams.

Itchen VS City of London Academy – Southwark

Itchen brought City of London Academy – Southwark’s unbeaten run from last season to an end with a 78-68 win over the defending champs. Itchen’s top three put up some solid points, Anna Nevison lead the way with 21 points, Erin Caldwell’s 19 points ad Faye Endean’s 15 points.


Oakland College VS Copleston High School

Oakland College snatched a clutch win away from Copleston High School in dying moments of the fourth to win by one point 69-68. Oaklands top three scorers combined for 42 points, Rosie Porter scored 16 points, Dais Porter 13 points and Kizzy Spence13 points. Saruna Gudza put on a show for Copleston hitting 5 threes and ended the game with 19 points. Her counterparts Live Foster helped her along the way 16 points and Abbie Yorke scoring 11 points.


Charnwood College Riders VS Nottingham Academy Wildcat

Charnwood’s Emily Taylor dropped 25 points and battled it out with Nottingham Academy Wildcats’ guard Natalie Charity who scored a game high 29 points. Nottingham would carry on to win 73-51 with supporting casts Alina Riley’s 16 points and Macy cook’s 12points. A rough Start for Charnwood Constance Selby’ 10 points and Megan Curran’s 7 points wasn’t enough to help secure a win.
